In Arabic, Haya means modesty, humility, integrity, and honor — virtues that are not only foundational to our Islamic faith but also guide the way we serve our clients. At Haya Esthetics Bar, we believe that true beauty comes with dignity and care, not vanity, and that our bodies are an amanah (trust) from Allah, deserving of thoughtful, respectful care.

Our journey began with a simple but powerful realization: skincare and waxing can be more than surface-level beauty — they can be a form of holistic self-care rooted in faith. Using a holistic approach, we turn to the natural healing remedies Allah has placed on earth — herbs, oils, clays, and sunnah practices — to care for our skin and bodies. As the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“Allah has not sent down a disease except that He has also sent down its cure.”

This ayah reminds us that the solutions we seek for our skin, our bodies, and our well-being are already within the natural creation of Allah. At Haya Esthetics Bar, we are committed to using natural, effective ingredients that nourish, soothe, and heal without harming.

We also honor prophetic traditions regarding cleanliness and self-care. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) instructed that unwanted body hair should be removed at least every 40 days for cleanliness and hygiene:

“The fitrah (natural disposition) is five: circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, clipping the nails, plucking the underarm hair, and trimming the mustache.”

In this spirit, Haya Esthetics Bar provides hair removal services that align with Islamic guidelines. We do not remove facial hair except in cases where it is considered outside the norm and affects a woman’s self-esteem or well-being — always maintaining the integrity of what is permissible. This is a women-only space, created to serve our sisters with privacy, comfort, and compassion.
